12:14 He did evil because he was not determined to follow the Lord. ¹

19:3 Nevertheless you have done some good things; ²  you removed ³  the Asherah poles from the land and you were determined to follow the Lord.” ⁴

30:19 everyone who has determined to follow God, ⁵  the Lord God of his ancestors, even if he is not ceremonially clean according to the standards of the temple.” ⁶

[19:3]  ³ tn Here בָּעַר (ba’ar) is not the well attested verb “burn,” but the less common homonym meaning “devastate, sweep away, remove.” See HALOT 146 s.v. II בער.
